Beardslee Castle, Little Falls, NY

A road trip to Beardslee Castle on Sunday May 20, 2012. Photographer Lisa Beers, from Trout Creek, NY, was able to capture this image in the door to right of the fire sign. On second look we were able to single out several different images within the shot. Most notably is a  woman in period dress. One of our "hunters" was tapped on the shoulder while on the second floor of the building. Many ghost hunting teams have explored this location - http://www.beardsleecastle.com/ghostpage.htm Two of our investigators had reportable experiences while on location.

Super Moon - May 5, 2012

These orbs were captured atop a hill in Trout Creek, NY - orbs are said to be a ball of visible energy. The emotional intensity shared by and between these two drew the energy to them. The universe was certainly celebrating the re-connection of these souls

as Halloween approaches ....

The veil between the worlds is said to be thinner at this time of the year. With that in mind, another visit to Dundas Castle was in order. The crisp, leaf scented air was the perfect backdrop for video and photography on October 12, 2011. The air quality and clarity carried the spooky sounds of a bell ringing and footsteps following us through the courtyard. In further exploration of the interior of the castle depicted orbs that followed us. The colors were very non-threatening, violets and a lovely blue. In the second floor dining area, a still photo revealed something unseen with the naked eye.

Further exploration revealed additional graffiti which was disappointing. The beauty of this historic landmark continues to be defaced instead of celebrated.
There remains particular areas which are almost impossible to explore further, including the staircase leading from the back of the first floor kitchen to the second floor, near the dumbwaiter. Not one person who has visited has willingly approached the staircase. Cameras turn on and off at that location. The pictures dim and blur on video as it appears there is energetic disruption to the equipment, similar to what happens in the Barbican Folly.  It takes an incredible amount of courage to descend into the darkness there. Watch the video and you be the judge.

The Exterior Beauty of Dundas Castle on Craig E Clare Road in Roscoe

the slate roof is in remarkably good condition
This detached "room" contains rusted meat hooks
The enchanting exterior of this structure is breathtaking. The craftsmanship that went into the placement of the mahogany doors, slate roof and native stone leaves one in awe. The beauty beckons you ...... to what awaits within and  ....... below ......

Video Clip Exiting Barbican Folly Into Castle

Determine for yourself what happened in this clip. Our review of hours of tape showed that the only time there was a problem was in the gated area, and the "dungeon" area. Once those areas were exited ... there were no equipment failures, electrical failures or even a "spooky feeling".  The most notable occurrence, aside from the video turning itself on and off,  jumping frames and repeating itself, was the change in light, color and atmosphere. It is at the end of the clip. This is also the point where we felt that "it's ok now".

Haunted! in Roscoe, NY

View of gated area - from outside
Entrance to the second chamber
Problems with the video & recorder started

An escorted tour of the Dundas Castle in Roscoe, NY provided our team with eerie footage in some of the "hot spots". At the end of a gated walk-way, or barbican folly, there are two turrets situated opposite of one another. The one on the left is light and airy, a joyful, peaceful place. The one on the right was dark, dreary and foreboding. Entering the second chamber, we discovered a basement or more likely, a dungeon. Amid the dripping water, a voice can be heard on the recording. As we left the chamber, and headed back into the castle proper, the video equipment started jumping, skipping and turning itself off and on. Photos are posted here, taken during several of the equipment "failures". Once we left the area, the equipment resumed working. The beautiful structure has sadly been completely vandalized. There are angry markings on the wall with words like RAMPAGE, LION and VENGEANCE. One graffiti artist advised all vandals as to ownership of the castle: "This house belongs to Mr. Dundas" is written in dust in a sink in a cutlery storage area off the main kitchen. The most notable occurrence was the sound of two men approaching us in an eager fashion, presumably to ask us to leave. One man was urging the other on, in their approach. The voices were not carried by bodies. There were several instances where I seemed to be walking into spiderwebs or cobs webs and made complaint. Raven, who entered the room before I did, did not notice spiderwebs. Nor did he see any material whatsoever on me upon my complaint.
